The List
The List is expected to be the first film from Fruitless Pursuit Films, currently in development and tentatively slated to film in March 2006.
Scott Hammond and his wife, Tiffany, decide to add some spice to their marriage by role-playing...pretending they are having an affair with each other. To prepare for the evening's activities, Scott is sent to purchase condoms. He is nervous about this errand, as he is the youth pastor for a small Baptist church in North Carolina where the church's pastor has made it quite clear that he finds condom usage unacceptable. Of course Scott is spotted by church members, and his job is to make it through the night and to the checkout counter without word of his "illicit" activities reaching his boss.
Okay, enough with the press release. I hate writing like that.
I first came up with the central idea for this short about a month ago, and I'm still in the initial planning stages. At the moment I am trying to write an outline for the script; a road map, if you will, for everything significant that happens. When the outline is finished, I'll write the script.
This will probably not take as long to develop as Snafu, mainly because it's shorter. I'm aiming for 15 minutes as opposed to 90. For the past week, though, I've been stuck. My main problem has been developing some supporting characters. Hopefully over the next few days I'll be able to flesh out the details and make some headway on the outline.
If you have character ideas, feel free to leave a comment.
