Lesson learned

I've decided that it's not a good idea to work on the screenplay if I'm exhausted. For the first time since writing those seven pages I mentioned eariler, I looked at what I had written with an open mind.

Simply put, it was terrible. Awful. Very bad. No good.

It included just about every movie cliche that I despise. Well, not all of them, but there were a lot of them. Last night while I was security-guarding, I rewrote the first three pages. I cut out a ton of the stuff that wasn't good, and changed my approach to the story. I'm feeling a bit more confident about this second draft of the first draft.

In a few days, however, we shall see if this version is any good.
